Zoho expands its AI portfolio with Zia LLM, Agents, Studio and Marketplace

Zoho is taking the next big step in artificial intelligence: With Zia LLM, its own large language model, and new tools like Zia Agents, Agent Studio, Marketplace and MCP, the company is significantly expanding its AI portfolio. The goal: AI that truly supports everyday business – without compromising on security or flexibility.

What is Zia LLM?

Zia LLM is a fully in-house developed large language model from Zoho, specifically designed for business use cases such as:

  • Data extraction
  • Text summarization
  • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
  • Code generation

The architecture includes three model sizes: 1.3B, 2.6B, and 7B parameters.

These are deployed according to context to strike a balance between performance and resource usage.

Zia LLM runs exclusively on Zoho-owned data centers in the USA, Europe, and India. The model is designed for privacy, performance, and full control by the customer.

Important: Zia LLM is currently in internal use and undergoing testing through an Early Access program, which is also open to businesses via a waitlist. General availability (GA) is planned for late 2025.

An ecosystem for agent-based AI

In addition to Zia LLM, Zoho is launching an entire portfolio that brings AI into daily business – no coding required.

1. Zia Agents

Zoho

provides over 25 ready-to-use agents that can take over concrete tasks in various roles, such as:

  • Customer Service Agent (for Zoho Desk): processes incoming requests, responds directly or escalates
  • Revenue Growth Specialist: identifies cross- and upselling opportunities
  • Deal Analyzer: evaluates deals and recommends next actions
  • Candidate Screener: analyzes applications for relevance and fit

These agents are embedded natively into Zoho apps – available to Early Access participants.

2. Zia Agent Studio

With Zia Agent Studio, users can create their own agents – without writing code.

Highlights:

  • Prompt-based no-code/low-code interface
  • Access to 700+ actions across 55+ Zoho apps
  • Triggered via buttons, rules, or conversations
  • Can be deployed as “digital employees” with role-based permissions and performance analytics

3. Agent Marketplace

A new section of the Zoho Marketplace is dedicated to agents: the Zia Agent Marketplace. Here, you’ll find prebuilt AI agents from Zoho – with more to come from partners and developers.

Some available agents:

  • Revenue Growth Specialist
  • Deal Analyzer
  • Candidate Screener

More agents for various business functions are in development.

4. Model Context Protocol (MCP)

The MCP server connects contextual data across 15+ Zoho apps – enabling agents to act with context inside and outside the Zoho ecosystem.

Example: A sales agent can pull data from CRM, Analytics, and Support – while respecting existing permission settings.

5. Ask Zia – reimagined

The updated version of Ask Zia offers conversational support with a focus on business intelligence:

  • Data engineers: build automated data pipelines
  • Analysts: create dashboards via natural conversation
  • Data scientists: get help bootstrapping ML models

These features are being tested with selected users and will roll out more broadly soon.

What’s on the roadmap?

Zoho has already announced its next steps:

  • Larger Zia LLM models (e.g., 32B parameters and more)
  • Reasoning Language Model (RLM) for deeper language understanding
  • Expanded ASR language support
  • New agent skills, e.g., for finance and support teams
  • Agent2Agent Protocol (A2A): agents will be able to collaborate across tasks and platforms

Summary and Outlook

Zoho is expanding its AI portfolio with its proprietary Zia LLM model and a complete system of intelligent agents, a no-code studio, a dedicated marketplace, and open infrastructure.

Whether in sales, HR, analytics, or support – Zia agents aim to make business processes smarter, faster, and more secure. The focus remains on data protection and seamless integration with existing Zoho tools.

These features are currently in Early Access, with businesses able to join via a waitlist. Zoho is actively collecting feedback from a broad range of industries, regions, and company sizes.
